Black Widow & Cruella to Hit Disney+ Premier Access & Cinemas Simultaneously
Disney has announced that highly-anticipated titles \’Black Widow\’ and \’Cruella\’ will release in Cinemas and on Disney+ Premier Access at the same time. It was also announced that Pixar\’s \’Luca\’ will be able to stream exclusively on Disney+.
This is Disney\’s biggest decision yet, in terms of streaming. Black Widow, in particular, could\’ve been a Billion-dollar grossing movie at the box office pre-pandemic. Disney+ Premier Access costs £19.99 or $29.99 in addition to a Disney+ Subscription.
Cruella is set to release on Disney+ Premier Access & in cinemas on May 28th. The big-budget title explores the origins of 101 Dalmations villain, Cruella de Vil. Starring Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, Paul Walter Hauser & Joel Fry.
Animated film Luca will be streaming on Disney+ on June 18th, skipping a Cinema Release. Set in the Italian Riviera, it\’s a coming-of-age story about a boy who enjoys an unforgettable Summer.
Marvel Studios\’ Black Widow will hit Premier Access and Cinemas on July 9th. The long-awaited movie, with Scarlett Johannson at the centre, was set to release May 7th but has now been pushed back 2 months.
Theatrical release dates also shifted for several additional upcoming films. New release dates include:
- “Free Guy” on August 13, 2021
- “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” on September 3, 2021
- “The King’s Man” on December 22, 2021
- “Deep Water” on January 14, 2022
- “Death on the Nile” on February 11, 2022
